How to export or copy a transcript (DOCX, PDF, TXT, SRT, VTT)

Your transcripts aren't locked in. In the AudioScribe web app you can copy a whole transcript straight to your clipboard, or export it as a document (DOCX, PDF, TXT) or a subtitle file (SRT, VTT) — and choose what's included, with a live preview that updates as you go.

Steps

  1. Open the conversation in the AudioScribe web app and click Export in the top-right corner.
  2. Pick a format. In the Transcript section, open File format and choose Clipboard to copy the transcript, DOCX for editing, PDF for sharing, TXT for plain text, or SRT / VTT for subtitles.
  3. Choose what's included. Open More options to toggle things like timestamps and speaker names — the preview updates as you choose, so you can check it before you export.
  4. Click Export. Your file downloads, ready to share or edit. If you chose Clipboard, you'll see "Transcript copied to clipboard" — paste it wherever you need it.

Copy the whole transcript

In the AudioScribe web app, open a conversation, click Export, set File format to Clipboard, and click Export. The whole transcript is copied to your clipboard. The web app doesn't have a separate Copy text button — that button belongs to the free transcription tool on our website.

Tip: If you've renamed the speakers, exports use the real names — as long as Show speaker names is on, which it is by default.
